Our Mission

We, as the Methodist People of God in Caerphilly, face a time of change and challenge.

As from the 1st September 2009, we became part of the Cardiff Circuit which comprises of 22 churches. This process reverses the position which last changes in 1934 when the Caerphilly Circuit comprised of 7 churches.

At the same time we at Wesley face the challenge of bringing our building into good repair with some works requiring major expenditure. At the ripe old age of 79 it is in need of some ‘tender loving care’ and we are laying plans for this work at the moment. A conservation specialist has prepared a scheme for us and now the process to seek funding in order to progress the work.

The building lends itself very readily to musical, theatrical, community and of course worship activities and it has been the vision of the Fund Raising Committee to utilize our resources to the full over many years. Any gaps in our programme of activities is usually filled by private lettings.

To this end, we as a community church accept the challenge and look to God our Heavenly Father to guide our footsteps.
