Keep Thinking

Just a couple of days ago we mourned and celebrated so many lives heroically wasted as the nation gathered around the Cenotaphs and war memorials up and down the country.

Just yesterday we were shocked by the news that Baby 'P' had been so cruelly killed in Haringey and now today just when we though, ‘ it couldn’t get any worse’ comes the news from Manchester of a three year old and a three month old child being stabbed - apparently by their mother.

The last I heard, twenty eight teenagers have been stabbed to death in London this year, one woman has been to the High Court seeking reassurance that her husband will not be punished when he returns from Switzerland, having at least witnessed her assisted suicide.

Two twenty three year old rugby players, both injured when scrums collapsed, one of whom found his injuries to be more than he could bear and the other a door of new opportunity.

A thirteen-year-old girl is so damaged by her treatment for Leukaemia that she wishes to end not her life, but her treatment.

All of which leads me to wonder - just what is life?

All of the foregoing need to be taken into consideration when trying to come up with an answer, as well as the words of Frank Bruno

'- Life? If it was easy everybody would be doing it.'

I hope that I will get the hang of it soon and if there's anything you would like to add to the debate feel free to come along and share it.
