Keep Thinking
Life is so much more than 'one darn thing after another' to borrow a phrase from Henry Ford.
Those experiences that I recorded last month serve to illustrate that life is not just what happens, but what we think about what happens.
Life is in the mind as much as it is in the world; during the course of our lives we meet with many who would be dead, but for their refusal to lie down; and many who are simply going through the motions.
We are gearing up to celebrate God's gift of life, the birth of the child in the stable of Bethlehem.
The gift of life that overcomes its humble beginnings, that narrowly escapes being 'ethnically cleansed', that rises above the experience of displacement and homelessness, that continues true to itself in spite of the company it keeps.
Strange how some things never seem to change.
(You can check it out for yourself in Matthew's Gospel, chapter 1, verses 18-25, and the 2nd chapter of Luke's)
Christmas is a bit like life,
there's more to it than meets the eye.
We'd be happy to hear your experience and we'd like to share ours with you.
Why not pop in and say hello?
